Normalcy has returned to the Black Star Square where the ongoing process to resolve challenges relating to the Computerised School Selection and Placement System for Senior High Schools (SHS) stopped abruptly because of chaos yesterday (September 16).

Following yesterday’s chaos at the Black Star Square, normalcy has returned due to new measures that have been put in place by the Ghana Education Service (GES).

Students have been numbered and divided into two groups according to the schools given them by the GES.
Some private schools were seen there taking advantage of the chaotic situation to market their schools.
One parent who had to travel all the way to Accra and has been lodging at the Black Star square for three days is yet to be attended to. She is so disappointed in the free SHS system and it’ i her wish we go back to the previous system.
It is the wish of most parents that their wards be given quality education for free but not through such disorganized manner of school placement. Everything is in a mess and they wonder when this problem will be resolved for their wards to join their colleagues in school.
