Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia says about 98 percent of depositors who had their monies locked up during the financial sector clean-up have been paid.
He said the payments were in cash and bonds.
Speaking on a sister station in Accra, Vice President Bawumia said although the Bank of Ghana had since rolled out some reforms in the financial sector to avoid a repeat of the crisis, the Central Bank should share in the blame.
Touching on the performance of the cedi, Vice President Bawumia said although the cedi is still depreciating, it is doing so at a slower pace.
Responding to issues raised by the NDC that some projects mentioned in the NPP manifesto are non-existent, Vice President Bawumia said the evidence is clear on the Delivery Tracker. He challenged them to also be transparent with what they achieved during their term in office.
