The Agricultural Development Bank  has rolled out support programme for small holder farmers, peasant farmers, and huge commercial farmers to produce enough for the domestic market and export.

According to a Research Scientist with the Savannah Agriculture Research Institute, Professor Roger Kanton, ADB started the programme three years ago by providing improved seeds, fertilizers, insecticides and equipment to plough the farms for five hundred farmers in the Northern, Upper East, and Upper West Regions.

Prof Kanton urged the Bank to replicate the programme across the country to ensure food security and sufficiency.

He said that would also encourage the youth to go into agriculture as a business.
