The recent impasse in Parliament is said to have dire consequences on government business.
Responding to a question on the repercussions of the legislature’s stance at the November monthly Economic Update in Accra, Minister of Finance, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, said the situation is worrying as some legislations, for instance, which will pave the way for the World Bank to release about 300 million dollars, have not materialised.
This he described as unfortunate, considering its overarching impact on the economy. While appreciating the relentless role played by Ghanaians in the recovery of the economy, Dr. Amin Adam gave the assurance that government will continue to initiate strategies that will inure to the benefit of all.
