The Association of Oil Marketing Companies (AOMCs) has rebranded and is now known as the Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies (COMAC).

This initiative signifies the Chamber’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and excellence in the Petroleum sector.

COMAC is set to focus on fostering industry partnerships, championing policy reforms, and elevating service standards to new heights.

The Chamber looks ahead to powering Ghana’s oil marketing industry while contributing to the nation’s economic growth.

With this transformation, the Chamber signals its readiness to innovate, inspire, and impact the industry.

Speaking at the Revelers Night and Rebranding Ceremony in Accra, CEO of COMAC, Dr. Riverson Oppong, said the rebranding is aimed at amplifying the Chamber’s impact and optimizing its operations.

“While our current identity is deeply respected, it no longer fully and accordingly reflects the ambition, dynamism, energy and unity that drives us forward. The decision to rebrand as COMAC is not a mere name change. It is a deliberate and strategic transformation to position ourselves as leaders in the industry and in an evolving landscape which we all find ourselves in today. The new name the Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies deeply reflects and deliberates elevations in our structure and influence. The word Chamber invokes professionalism, unity and credibility.” Dr. Oppong emphasized.

Director of Petroleum Downstream at the Ministry of Energy, Mr. Ali Nuhu Abeka said the transformation is a step in the right direction.

He urged COMAC to educate its members on the Cylinder Recirculation module.

“The Ministry looks forward to your support towards initiatives such as the national fuel quality policy, as well as the biofuel development and commercialization initiative as an essential part of achieving our shared vision of improved energy quality, energy resilience and sustainability.” Mr. Nuhu Abeka highlighted.

COMAC says it is poised to ensure a sustainable energy market and energy security in Ghana.
