The Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Ernest Addison has been speaking about events that led to the losses incurred by the Bank.

At a news conference in Accra today, Dr. Addison said no procurement laws were broken in the building of the Bank’s new head office in Accra.

He said the decision to put up a new modern office for the Central Bank is not a recent idea and that it had been on the table since 2013.

The BoG Governor noted that in all its dealings, the Bank acted within the applicable laws, clarifying that it is not true that the Bank of Ghana has been providing financing for the government every year.

”It is not true that BOG has been financing government”, he noted.
