Right from the onset of the word, Electronic Transfer Levy, E-Levy, to its being passed as a Bill, citizens have had varied concerns. What could be the case, less knowledge for citizens? Policymakers’ inability to articulate the issues? Some citizens think E-Levy is just a way for the government to extort money from citizens, hence the recent panic redrawals.

What deductions are going to be made off citizens’ transactions, what is this money going to be used for, how transparent is it going to be done and how would citizens benefit from the E-Levy Bill.
These are the concerns of citizens that need answers.

The Ghana Institute of Journalism Forum would provide a perfect platform for some answers. The event takes place at the Institution’s Campus at Dzorwulu on Friday, 8th April 2022. The Communication school is looking forward to digesting the topic and all its concerns.

Chairing the event is the GIJ Rector, Prof. Kwamena Kwansah-Aidoo. A Professor of Public Relations and Development Communication, who doubles as President of the African University College of Communication, AUCC, Prof. Isaac Abeku Blankson will speak to the issues.
