A Senior Lecturer at the University of Ghana Business School, Dr. Laud Mensah says the Minister of Finance’s call for a neutral body to probe into the depreciation of the cedi is a step in the right direction.
He said, this calls for mutual collaboration between the government and the opposition.
Dr. Mensah said looking at the long term solutions, tax policies should be consistent and static no matter the political party in power.
Speaking to GBC’s Ibrahim Kwarteng, he added that the country also needs to make the economy an export-driven one if the cedi is to be strengthened.
