With just one day to go until the 2025 Budget Presentation on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson is seeking input from ordinary Ghanaians, particularly traders and informal workers, on their expectations from the government.

On March 7, Dr. Forson visited Makola Market in Accra, where he engaged with market women, head porters (kayayei), and traders. Many of them expressed concerns about the rising cost of doing business, high taxes, and the negative impact of the cedi’s instability on their livelihoods.

“It was a privilege to interact with these hardworking Ghanaians who tirelessly support our economy,” Dr. Forson said after the visit. “Their expectations for #Budget2025 will play a key role in shaping our shared future.”
