By Racheal Asamoah

The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) has officially opened applications for the 21st edition of the Ghana Club 100 awards, set to take place on October 11, 2024.

The prestigious event will recognize and rank the top 100 companies in Ghana based on corporate excellence and performance.

Charles Opoku Mensah, Head of Public Relations and Communication Division at GIPC, speaking to GBC’s Uniiq Breakfast Drive, emphasized the transparency and credibility of the rankings.

“Club 100 has stood the test of time. It’s about the only awards in this country where we can vouch for the integrity. We publish how we arrive at the rankings. It’s very open. You can pick up the Club 100 magazine and know how you ranked first, second, or third. It’s all transparent, and participants understand that there is no favoritism,” he stated.

Mr. Opoku Mensah added that the Ghana Club 100 awards serve as a benchmark for corporate excellence and promote open corporate governance, encouraging companies to subject themselves to third-party evaluations, urging companies to apply for the 2024 rankings.

Senior Investment Promotion Officer, Edmond Ofoli Onyame, provided further insight into the ranking process, stressing that the initiative is independently conducted.

Onyame also outlined the eligibility criteria for companies hoping to participate, noting that businesses must be tax compliant, have audited financial statements, and demonstrate a strong CSR footprint. He encouraged eligible businesses to apply and take advantage of the exposure and opportunities the ranking offers.

The Ghana Club 100 awards, initiated by the GIPC, continue to set a high benchmark for corporate excellence and provide a platform for businesses to showcase their achievements. Applications are currently open, with the event scheduled to be held in October.
