The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) has announced the appointment of Dr. Bernice Makafui Brempong as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Dr. Brempong is a results-driven professional, with a distinguished track record in business development, healthcare, and strategic partnerships.

She holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Ghana’s School of Pharmacy, a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from the University College of London, and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

As a pharmacist by profession, Dr. Brempong has established herself as an innovative business leader, and a global speaker, having participated and shared insights on healthcare innovation, business, and economic development on both local and international platforms.

A strong advocate for the development of Ghana’s economy, she believes that the country’s ability to attract local and international investments will be a key driver of sustainable economic growth.

Dr. Brempong has also won several awards and recognition including the Most Outstanding Female in Pharmaceuticals in Ghana, Africa Outstanding Professional, and also 50 Most Influential Women in Ghana by the Business Executive Magazine.

Commenting on her appointment, she expressed her commitment to work in line with the vision of His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama in building the Ghana we want, working collaboratively with stakeholders to enhance Ghana’s business environment and increase Foreign Direct Investment to solidify the country’s position as one of Africa’s top investment destinations.

The Ghana Investment Promotion Center (GIPC) is the foremost agency responsible for the encouragement and promotion of investments in Ghana.

Dr. Obrempong assured the centre and Ghanaians of her resolve to work more harder to engender growth, GIPC continues to spearhead the ‘Invest Ghana’ agenda.

This she promised doing by propagating boundaryless business opportunities in key sectors such as manufacturing, agro-processing, tourism, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, real estate, and mining as it’s been the vision of the centre.
