The Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company has been given 14 working days ultimatum to settle the non-Remittance of withholding tax owed the Ghana Revenue Authority for goods purchased in 2018. The non-payment of the tax has accrued more interest to the tune of GHC 111,051.28.
Speaking at the Public Accounts Committee in Parliament the Chief Executive of Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company Limited, Frances Asiama said the Company’s inability to pay the debt is due to financial pressure.
She said the company had engaged with GRA to provide some sort of waiver to make it easier for it to pay its debt owed to the Ghana Revenue Authority.
