The Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority, GRA, has inaugurated an office complex and a state warehouse in Tamale to facilitate trade and revenue mobilisation in the Northern Region.
GRA’s Customs Division currently shares the same Office building with other departments making it difficult for effective customs function.
The new office has departmental units and a state warehouse where seized goods could be kept.
Commissioner of the Division Colonel Damoah said they are working to ensure that people do not cheat the state through tax evasion.
He urged business owners to honour their tax obligations for the state to mobilize more revenue for development.
