The Public Enterprises Ministry is coming out with a League Table to rank the performance of Public Enterprises. This is to bring some form of competition among the State Organisations and also enable them to perform better.
The Minister for Public Enterprises, Joseph Cudjoe made this known at a media briefing in Accra. The issue of poor performance by State Enterprises has been a source of worry to the government for some time now and has devised strategies to enable these State entities to perform and also generate revenue.
Mr. Cudjoe noted that the League Table is the only way to push State Enterprises to work effectively and generate the needed revenue for development.
Mr. Cudjoe also mentioned that some entities will also be listed on the Stock Exchange.
