Poverty rate higher in Rural Savannah

The three Regions of the North contributes more than 40 percent to national poverty.
A 2016/2017 survey on Ghana living standards poverty profile showed that Rural Savannah still ranks highest in poverty rates among ecological zones.
The Head of Industrial Statistics at the Ghana Statistical Service, Mr. Anthony Krakah, said inequality contributed to increased poverty in the Northern and Upper East Regions.
