President Akufo-Addo says by next year (2024), Ghanaians will begin to reap the benefits of the IMF arrangement.
According to him the decision to go to the IMF is beginning to pay off.
Speaking during a courtesy call on him by the Group Chairman of Standard Chartered Bank Bill Winters, President Akufo-Addo stated that “the IMF programme is yielding positive results by restoring confidence in the economy and banks are making profits”.
He hinted that soon a meeting would be held, “with the IMF on the way forward for the programme”.
Group Chairman of Standard Chartered Bank Bill Winters congratulated Ghana on the progress Ghana has made to recover from the recent economic crisis.
