Cecilia Dapaah: OSP to brief public on findings when completed

In a recent public notice, the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has refuted the authenticity of purported reports, pictures, and videos circulating on social media and other platforms related to the investigation of Cecilia Abena Dapaah, the former Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources.

The OSP stated that it “has not disclosed, published, or allowed any information, including reports, videos, or pictures, regarding the actions taken in the matter and the outcome of its investigation”.

The public is therefore urged “to disregard these alleged reports, videos, and images, as they are not officially sanctioned by the OSP”.

It noted that “Speculative information should not be treated as reliable until verified and confirmed by the proper authorities”.

The OSP further reassured the public that “it will provide an official update on the outcome of the investigation once it reaches its conclusion”.

Any necessary further action will also be communicated through official channels.

The case involving the former Minister has drawn significant public interest, but the OSP reminds the public to be patient and wait for the official statement to ensure accuracy and transparency.
