The Coalition of Domestic Election Observers CODEO says it is hopeful the Independent National Electoral Commission of Nigeria, INEC will meet its deadline for Saturday’s elections.
This was after CODEO joined other election observers for an engagement with INEC in Nigeria on the postponement of its elections.
A Research Analyst with CODEO, Rhoda Osei Afful, told GBC’s Nathaniel Nartey that although the reasons given by INEC for the postponement of the election are genuine, they could have avoided it.
She explained that the work needed by INEC to ensure the elections came off on Saturday will be difficult due to limited time.
