The Coalition of Domestic Election Observers, CODEO, says it has deployed 15 Observers to monitor proceedings at 12 specially selected electoral areas in the Assin North Constituency.

There will also be two other Observers who will roam all the polling stations.

Speaking to GBC News, the National Coordinator of CODEO, Albert Arhin, said the observers will do a good job to enable the coalition to determine whether the by-election is free and fair.

Mr. Arhin touched on vote buying and said ”until the electorate are bold enough to report to the Police for the appropriate action to be taken, the phenomenon will recur”.

UG Lecturer, Kawor Seyram says allegations of vote buying only reinforces corruption and impedes good governance.
