Vehicle owners who thronged the Regional Office of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) in Accra have commended managers for making the service easy and convenient.
Over the years the scene at any DVLA office on the beginning of first working day of the year has always been chaotic and hectic.
But that was absent on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, and managers attribute the orderly atmosphere to an improvement of the system via technology.
At the 37 branch DVLA, vehicle registrations started around 7 AM. several clients hurled into the banking hall to complete registration payments.
Business transactions proved to be swift as customers kept trooping in and out with their documents which included number plates, and other legal forms.
Unlike the previous years, clients were not required to come along with their vehicles for registration, provided they were inspected within the inspection period.
Thorough observations from various centres at the DVLA office indicated that officials were in their best elements to assist every client provided their documents were valid.
The assistant Manager in charge of vehicle inspection and registration, Edwin Ofori said clients who purchased the premium service completed their registration within 30 minutes.
The Public Relations Officer of the DVLA, Francis Tuffuor disclosed that the digital registration will enable easy and reliable access to information.
Some officials in charge of vehicle registration also assured customers of a fast and convenient service at the DVLA.
Some customers who spoke to Business News said this year’s registration has been swift and hope it continues.
Although the first day of the 2019 registration has been convenient, managers of the 37 Branch of DVLA hinted that more customers may rush-in within the coming weeks after the holidays.
