The Ghana Football Association, GFA, President Kurt Okraku has expressed his disappointment with the Black Stars players following their lackluster performance in a recent match against Niger in September, 2024.

He did not hold back his criticism, making it clear that their display on the field was far from satisfactory. Okraku’s stern words were aimed at motivating the team to improve and deliver better results in their upcoming game against Sudan.

The Black Stars, known for its rich history and  good football culture, however have shown no signs of that in their recent performance, leaving fans and officials questioning their commitment and skills. Okraku’s message was a wake-up call, emphasizing that playing for the national team is both an honor and a responsibility that requires dedication and effort.

In his address, Okraku urged the players to give their all for the country, stating that they must “die for Ghana” on the field. This metaphorical call to arms was meant to inspire a sense of pride and urgency among the players.

He made it clear that those who fail to meet the expectations may not have the opportunity to represent Ghana in future matches.

The upcoming match against Sudan is crucial for the Black Stars, as they aim to redeem themselves and regain the trust of their supporters. Okraku’s message serves as both a challenge and an opportunity for the players to prove their worth.

The pressure is on, and the team must rise to the occasion to secure a victory.
