Ghana FA Cup champions, Dreams FC trashed Angolan side Academica do Lobito 4-0 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Wednesday 20th December, 2023 after causing damage in the first leg against the same opponent in Angola with a 3:2 victory.

Dreams FC opened the scoring in the 35th minute with a gaal from Agyenim Boateng who calmed the nerves of the “Still Believe Boys” to fight for a victory. After going in front, the home side unfortunately found themselves two goals up with an own goal from the away side.

A sensational display from Abdul Aziz Issah saw him put on a master class performance from the midfield to give Dreams FC their third goal in the 74th minute. The teenage midfield sensation was not finished yet as he added an assist to his name by helping Nuhu score the fourth and final goal in stoppage time.

Dreams FC tops group A in a commanding style, securing nine points after four group matches. Rivers United FC sits behind them with six points with a game in hand against Club Africain, who also sits at third with six points.

Dreams FC will be hoping to make history by reaching the knockout stage of the CAF Confederation Cup after a wonderful start to the competition.
