GH¢60 million released for teachers’ intervention to be paid – Minister of Education

GH¢60 Million would soon be released for the payment of allowance of teachers Intervention that is according to the Education Minister Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum.

The law maker announced on Thursday 13th January, 2021 on the #gtvbreakfast during an interview with host Thelma Tackie.

The Minister was in studio to talk about Ghana’s Science Technology and Engineering, STEM Education.

“Am making the announcement on your show. Yesterday I signed off for the release of ₵ 60 for the teachers’ intervention to be paid so the announcement has been made so breaking news.”

He added that the teacher’s intervention is not for teachers but is covering all teachers and not just teachers, the schools have a formula that they use every year because they know the non-teaching staff are also impacted.

“Covering all teachers and in fact, it is not just teachers, the schools have a formula that they use every year because they know the non-teaching staff are also impacted so I can’t describe how they are going to work it out but GES always send directives and the schools know how to share the money.” he said.
