Education Experts have identified over-politicization of the School Feeding Programme as its bane.
Speaking to GBC News, Executive Director of Africa Education Watch, Kofi Asare explains that since the inception of the programme, political appointees have managed and embezzled funds without prosecution.
To this end, Mr Asare is calling for a full-scale investigation into the latest corruption allegation involving the National Coordinator of the School Feeding Programme, Mrs. Gertrude Quashigah, leading to the termination of her appointment.
He said the culprit if found guilty must be prosecuted and not shielded because of political affiliations.
His comments come on the back of allegations of the payment of more than one million Cedis to non-existent schools and caterers under the feeding programme.
