President Akufo-Addo has led the inauguration of more than 80 educational projects across all 16 regions of the country. The initiative, aimed at improving access to quality education, includes a range of modern facilities designed to cater to the diverse needs of students across the country.
At a symbolic inauguration at St. Barnabas Anglican School in Osu, President Akufo-Addo was hopeful that every Ghanaian child will continue to have access to the resources and opportunities they deserve.
The projects cover a wide spectrum of educational needs, from basic schools to senior high schools and technical institutions. The story of Saint Barnabas Anglican School is one that resonates deeply with the President .
For over six decades, the school stood in the heart of Accra as a beacon of education. Yet it suffered from neglect. The School has not seen any major renovation since its establishment on 1st November 1961.
The classrooms were detiorated with broken windows, leaking roofs, and learning spaces unfit for children.
The transformed St. Barnabas School is now equipped with modern facilities designed to meet the demands of 21st century education.
President Akufo-Addo noted that the new classrooms at St Barnabas School are not just classrooms with new paint and ceilings but are spaces of possibility, where dreams are nurtured and talents discovered.
He said Ghanaian children deserve the best and encouraged parents, teachers, and community leaders to ensure that they have the support they need to succeed.
There are similar events taking place across the 16 regions of the country.
