Four pregnant Candidates sat for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination in the Krachi West Municipality of the Oti region.
A total of 864 Candidates are writing the Examinations in the Municipal with four out of the number pregnant and one nursing mother.
Out of the number,485 are males and 379 are females.
The Municipality has two centres where the students write the Examinations but one of the centres has been moved to Osramane which allows candidates who travels far distance before to have access to the centre now solved.
The Centre A Coordinator, Mr. Ofori said, aside the issue of pregnancy and a nursing mother, all Candidates were present to sit for the Social Studies paper.
552,276 Candidates from 18,501 schools are writing this year’s B.E.C.E in 2,023 centers throughout the country.
The environment is well prepared and security personnel from the Ghana Police Service and the Military were on site to maintain order.
The Municipal Education Director, Madam Atabra Jacklinda visited the two centers in the Krachi West Municipality.
The Municipal Education Communication Officer, Mr. Vincent Fordjour said, the Municipal is adequately prepared and organisation has been very good.
”We hope all goes well with the students”.
