The Queenmother of Chansa, Pognaa Fati Issah Koray, has presented dual desks to the local Primary School and Kindergarten.
The donation follows an appeal made by the school authorities for her to assist the school with furniture, particularly the KG wing.
Through the instrumentality of Pognaa Fati Koray, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Wa Central, Dr Rashid Pelpuo, and the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Wa, Tahiru Issahaku Moomin equally reached out to the school with some dual desks.
The Queenmother of Chansa expressed appreciation to her friends and family members who helped her procure the furniture for Chansa Primary and KG.
Pognaa Fati Koray underscored the importance of donating the furniture to the school, saying the package will facilitate teaching and learning.
The Headmistress of the School, Mavis Gbe-Song Deri, thanked Pognaa Fati Koray for the gesture and said the support would spare the pupils the drudgery of sitting on the floor in class. The Headmistress also entreated the donor to also support the teachers of the school with tables and chairs to enhance their work.
An elder of Chansa, Adamu Mahama Samanbo Naa, expressed appreciation to Pognaa Fati Koray for her philanthropic endeavours. The KG kids were so excited when they had a feel the furniture in their classroom.
