Government through the Minerals Development Fund has donated 200,000 Ghana cedis to Daboase Senior Technical school to support its infrastructure development. The donation was done by the Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources George Mireku Duker as part of this tour of the Western Region.
The Minerals Development Fund Act, 2016, (ACT 912) was passed, specifically to ensure true improvement in the standard of living within Mining Communities across the country affected by mining operations. Mr Mireku Duker said government will continuously offer the needed support to all communities to bring them up to speed with those in the cities.
Headmistress of Daboase Senior High Technical school Irene Ampau said the school is faced with numerous infrastructural challenges.
“The school will be celebrating its 31 Anniversary this year and that should be the turning to see the school receiving massive development to accommodate more students.
