President Akufo-Addo has appointed Dr. Eric Nkansah as the Acting Director General of the Ghana Education Service, GES.
He takes over from Prof. Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa who was relieved of the post on Tuesday, October, 18, 2022.
A statement by the Secretary to the President, Nana Bediatuo Asante, said the appointment of Dr. Nkansah, is made pending receipt of the constitutionally required advice of the governing Council of the GES in consultation with the Public Services Commission.
He is expected to indicate his acceptance for the appointment within 14 days
