Eastern Region: Kwaebibirem Model JHS at Otumi in dire need of Computer LAB

The Eastern Regional National Disaster Management Organization, NADMO, has gone to the rescue of the Kwaebibirem Model JHS at Otumi in the Eastern Region, after GBC NEWS reported the devastation caused the school building by a rainstorm, a week ago.

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Kade, Alex Agyare together with the NADMO Officials presented eight packets of roofing sheets to the community to re-roof the school.

NADMO also presented relief items to households that were affected.

Deputy Eastern Regional Director of NADMO, Eric Tetteh, urged the community to adopt preventive measures especially by planting more trees to serve as windbreak to avoid disasters during the rainy season.

The Chief of Otumi, Barima Odame Ampem Darko who received the items expressed appreciation to the MP and NADMO for the swift response.

Barima Ampem Darko appealed to government to provide the community with a Second Cycle Institution.

The Head teacher, Isaac Asamoah was also appreciative for the intervention and appealed for the construction of a new Kindergarten block and computer library for the school.
