At the opening ceremony of Education U.S College Fair at the Movenpick Ambassador hotel on Friday September 13, 2024, some participating students explained how the program has benefitted them .
Many students found it informative, discovering universities they hadn’t known about and appreciating the interactive format that allowed them to ask questions and receive detailed answers. The program met their expectations and significantly expanded their knowledge.
Also, some school officials in attendance praised the program but raised concerns about its limited accessibility. They noted that similar opportunities often favour elite schools, leaving out many talented students from other institutions. The officials emphasised that students from all schools should have equal access to these programs to broaden their knowledge and contribute to the country’s development.
The call for broader inclusivity has become a key takeaway from the program’s success. By expanding access, more students can benefit from such initiatives, enabling them to gain valuable knowledge, excel academically, and ultimately help their communities and the nation.
