The Ghana National Education Campaign Coalition (GNECC) says government must commit enough resources to the educational sector to reverse the World Bank prediction of 56% of Human capital going waste.
National Coordinator for the Coalition, Veronica Dzeagu, told Radio Ghana’s Felix Cofie, that the Coalition has presented several papers on that same issue to government, citing teacher motivation, teacher absenteeism and not accepting postings to rural communities as some of the reasons.
She said the World Bank report only buttresses their point and the earlier policy makers rise up to confront the issues, the better it will be for all.
