Four hundred and fifteen (415) students have been awarded various degrees and diplomas by the Accra Business School. The degrees awarded include Master of Communication and International Marketing, Master of Public Affairs, Master of International Relations, as well as Master of Accounting and Finance. This was at the school’s 16th graduation ceremony in Accra.
Over the years, Accra Business School has trained students with the aim of increasing income, reducing poverty, and fostering economic development and democratic stability through its carefully designed job creation courses. At the 16th graduation ceremony, the Founder and Chief Executive of the Accra Business School, Bishop Gideon Titi-Offei, applauded the government for introducing educational initiatives such as Tvet and STEM, emphasising that it is one of the major steps for the youth to combat poverty.
Bishop Gideon Titi-Offei said skills-focused education is one sure way for the youth to acquire critical skills needed for the future. “I believe education must provide the skills to lift people out of poverty because the greatest threat to our democracy today is youth poverty. Nations thrive when they turn their people into highly productive human capital,” he said.
The Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, congratulated the students for their latest milestone and urged them to use the knowledge acquired to transform the country. Dr. Adutwum used the occasion to enlighten the participants on some of the initiatives undertaken by the government to improve Ghana’s education system.
Accra Business School was founded as a training institution in 2004. The school is a prestigious Christian business school accredited to offer globally recognised postgraduate, undergraduate, and professional programmes in a Christ-centred scholarly environment that integrates faith and learning. The school is affiliated with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and Norwich University, UK.
