One of such Private institutions doing a yeoman’s job in offering quality education to persons in its catchment area is the ‘Happy Heart School at Dome Pillar Two in Accra. For About ten years now, the school has been at the forefront in championing education at Dome and its environs, with remarkable results.
The school recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, unveiling a logo and an anniversary cloth to showcase its impactful training to pupils and residents of Dome Pillar Two. The 10th anniversary celebrations are anchored on the theme, ‘private efforts: supporting superior outcomes in basic education and will be climaxed in July, this year. Activities lined up include floats, inter-schools quiz and sports competitions, talent hunts, fundraising among other compelling programs.
Chief Executive of the school Isaac Asante acknowledged the government for the free Senior High School policy but added that the initiative is crippling many private schools. Mr. Asante appealed for a scrap of the 30 percent the government policy which empowers public schools in their selection and allocation processes to the detriment of private schools.
