Learn hard to justify investments made in you – Ashanti Regional Minister tells students

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah has urged students especially those benefiting from the free Senior High education to learn seriously to justify the investment made in them by the government.

He said the best legacy parents and Ghana can bequeath to the children is education which nobody can take away from them.

Mr Osei-Mensah said this when he toured some schools in the region including Abuakwa D/A Junior High School where the students were engaged in self placement because their Mathematics results were withheld. The rest of the schools are Toase, Nkawie Secondary/Technical and Yaa Asantewaa Girls Senior High Schools.

The Headmistress of Yaa Asantewaa Girls, Asuade Eshun Famiyeh briefed the Minister on the challenges the school is experiencing with the new system and the measures taken by the management to solve them.

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah addressing the first year students at the Yaa Asantewaa Girls SHS after the tour urged the students to learn hard to justify the investment made in them to become responsible in future and contribute to the country.
