Mawuko Girls SHS, Mierendorff School sign exchange programme agreement

Management of Mawuko Girls Senior High School in Ho and Carlo Mierendorff School in Frankfurt Germany have signed a partnership agreement for education and cultural exchange programmes.
The agreement is expected to provide an opportunity for students and teachers of both schools to learn and share cultural and academic experiences of Ghana and Germany through Information Technology (IT) and periodic visits.
It was facilitated by a Ghanaian based NGO, Chances Foundation in collaboration with the HITA Foundation in Germany.
Speaking at the signing ceremony in Ho, the Headmistress of Mawuko Girls SHS, Ernestina Peniana was hopeful that the cooperation will go a long way to broaden the horizon of teachers and students of both schools especially in the area of ICT.
She, on behalf of management, pledged to work hard to ensure that the objectives of the programme are achieved.
The Leader of the German Team, Thomas Erkert gave the assurance that the HITA Foundation and Mierendorff School will execute their portion of the agreement for the success of the programme.
Volta Regional Director of Education, Enyonam Amafuga lauded management of both institutions for the cooperation and pledged the support of her outfit towards the success of the agreement.
The HITA Foundation later presented computers and their accessories to the ICT Laboratory of Mawuko Girls SHS.
