Member of Parliament for Madina, has launched an educational scholarship scheme to reward the best teacher with a car and has also instituted MP’s Excellence Award in Law for the best student from the UPSA faculty of law to encourage the study of law in the constituency.

Speaking at the occasion to mark 100 days in office, Francis-Xavier Kojo Sosu said, education is one of his priorities as an MP, and that is why “I have launched ‘The Education Project’, to respond to all the educational needs within the constituency”.

According to him, his constituents deserve a good education and he has decided to change all chalk boards to white marker boards in all schools within the constituency, provide scholarships for brilliant but needy students, and institute the Teacher Awards Scheme to reward hard working and deserving teachers.

The first major achievement is the putting together a Working Policy Document (WPD).

According to him, the various promises he made to the people of Madina have been transcribed into a document called, “Working Policy Document” (WPD) which was put together by a committee made up of members of a team and led by Timothy King, a lecturer at the University of Professional Studies, Accra.

This, he said, will enable him to track his “actual deliverables” as against target. I am grateful to the team. I have always believed in inclusive leadership and allowing myself to learn while even leading”.

Speaking on his “Madina Job Center”, the MP stressed that, The Center has taken flight, aimed at reducing unemployment and providing job opportunities to the Constituents and “so far it has provided jobs for over five hundred (500) constituents”.

‘Health Project’, has seen over two thousand (2000) constituents receive free medical care.

This project is not limited to medical care only, but includes sanitation, where the MP seeks to improve the sanitary conditions in the constituency and also ensure general improvement of health facilities within the Constituency.

He pledged to ensure that he advocates and partners the various authorities and stakeholders to open the Kekele Hospital for the benefit of all people living in Madina.

“I am exploring the possibility of working with the Municipal Health Directorate and University of Ghana to convert Danfa Health Center into a fully-fledged Polyclinic and propose to set up the Oyarifa Health Center. I am also working to operationalize the CHPS Compound at Otinibi and Teiman and working with the Assembly and the Ghana Health Service to push for a District Hospital at Danfa”. he said.
