The National Teacher Awards have been re-branded ‘Ghana Teacher Prize’ with an international standard as the new benchmark.
This year’s event will be held on October 5th.
Speaking at the launch of the 2018 edition, the Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, said teachers play a pivotal role in the development of a nation and therefore deserve to be recognised and celebrated.
He added that the double track system is a good initiative but will not be effective without teachers.
