The Ghana Education Service has been explaining the reason for the postponement of the reopening of form 3 SHS students to the 5th of next month.
In a statement signed by the Head of Public Relations of the service, Cassandra Twum Ampofo, the GES said the postponement is to give the form 3 students uninterrupted period in their preparation towards their final examination.
It said the GES considers this new arrangement a better option as students will not break their instructional period and have their full one thousand and 80 hours needed before the final examination.
Originally, the students were to report on April 7, 2021, and stay in school until May 28.
The GES says currently; the students will be in school from 5th May until they write the WASSCE.
