Tyrone Marhguy, the young Rastafarian who faced admission denial to Achimota School due to his dreadlocks, has achieved outstanding success in the recently concluded West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE), securing an impressive 8As.

A video circulating on social media captures the moment Tyrone, surrounded by others, eagerly checks his results online.

The jubilant group erupts in excitement upon discovering his exceptional score.

Marhguy Tyrone, previously at the center of a 2021 admission controversy, was one of two students initially denied entry to Achimota School based on their dreadlocks.

Despite subsequent legal battles and a High Court ruling directing their admission, the school’s management and the Attorney General expressed intent to appeal the decision.

Having overcome weeks of legal challenges, Tyrone’s remarkable academic performance now stands as a testament to his resilience and capability.”
