The Acting Executive Secretary of the National Teaching Council (NTC), Christian Addai – Poku has hinted of plans for the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination to commence on Sunday June 21.
Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana, Mr Addai–Poku said the exam which was originally scheduled for March had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
He explained that all three papers which were previously written in three days, will be done in a day because of time constraints.
In all, 9,027 fresh candidates and 5,521 resitters, making a total of 14,548 candidates are expected to write the examination in 27 centres throughout the country.
The candidates will be examined in Numeracy, Literacy and Essential Professional Skills.
Mr Addai–Poku also explained that even though the March edition delayed because of COVID-19, the second one which was normally written in September would still come off.
Mr. Addai–Poku advised candidates to comport themselves during the exams.
