Registrar of the National Teaching Council, NTC, Dr. Christian Addai-Poku says the teacher licensure examination is the gateway for persons to become qualified teachers.
He said persons are required to have both the content knowledge and pedagogical knowledge to fit in the teaching curriculum.
Speaking on GBC’s Current Affairs Programme,’Talking Point‘, Dr. Addai-Poku encouraged Ghanaians to support the NTC to deliver their mandate.
He said the NTC has heard the concerns of the public following the 80 percent failure rate of candidates who wrote the latest licensure examination and will do the necessary adjustments if need be.
Dr Addai-Poku called on newly qualified teachers to embrace the standards of the NTC and the Licensure Examination as it has come to stay.
