The Takoradi Technical University (TTU) launched its 70th Anniversary on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at the salubrious premises of the school to unveil the various events and activities earmarked to dominate the year-long celebration of the milestone successes of the institution.
The anniversary encases seven (7) decades of solid commitment, resilience, growth, and remarkable journey as an institution as well as represents a dream-nurtured, celebrated triumph and an inspiration for the future of the institution.
At a symbolic unveiling of the event, the Vice Chancellor of TTU, Rev. Prof. John Frank Eshun, remarked that the anniversary will highlight echoes of the past, the present and the future of the university which has been made
possible by unities of possession, interest, title, time and purpose.
“As we celebrate this momentous occasion, let’s reflect on the journey that has led us here- our triumph, hurdles, and invaluable contribution to our growth as a successful institution in technical education.”
On his part, the Executive Director of GNPC Foundation, Dr Dominic Kwesi Eduah, who is a TTU alumnus, was welcomed to the stage with a pagaen of praise, and with his usual strands of phraseology, he seized the occasion to share some of his learning experiences and outcomes with the students in a vivacious manner.
He further advised them to make their books their best companions and make hay while the sun shines.
Dr Eduah for and on behalf of GNPC Foundation presented a brand new laptop to the best graduating disability student of the school. In addition, he made a personal cash donation to the University towards the celebration of the anniversary.
