The three unions of the University for Development Studies (UDS), Tamale, who embarked on strike last week, have called it off.
The suspension of the strike follows the payment of staff salaries for the month of July.
A statement signed by the Chairmen of the three striking unions, emphasised that management of the university works with the Controller and Accountant General’s Department to address some concerns raised in the letter declaring the strike a week ago.
Among these concerns are that the Controller and Accountant General’s Department takes steps to address all salary discrepancies suffered by staff during the migration.
Staff of the three unions, made up of the Teacher’s and Educational Workers Union, Senior Staff Association, and the Ghana Association of University Administrators, are to report back to work on Thursday, August 18.
