Former Attorney General, Madam Betty Mould-Iddrisu has mentioned that, the NDC will be very strategic with their campaign ahead of the December elections, citing that, their campaign will be youth focused.

Speaking about the NDC’s campaign strategy for this election, the former Attorney General, Betty Mould-Iddrisu revealed a shift towards targeting the youth of Ghana and the Ashanti Region.

During an interview on TV3’s “The Hot Issues” on April 29, 2024, she highlighted the youth’s role in driving change, citing recent events in Senegal and other West African countries.

“The party has always been youth-centric,” she said, emphasizing their historical focus on young voters. “We know how to appeal to them.”

Madam Mould-Iddrisu, noting the leadership of NDC’s Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, stressed the importance of engaging the youth to make informed decisions.

Additionally, she identified the Ashanti Region as a key area of focus due to its significant vote share, acknowledging a deficit of 1.4 million votes there.

“We believe we can secure the Akan vote,” she stated, citing a well-prepared strategy for election day, including vigilant ballot box protection.

“We are fiercely focused on this,” she concluded, highlighting ongoing preparations and unwavering commitment to success in the region.

The Ashanti Region now knows that the NPP only pretends to be doing projects there in election years. They are wide awake this time.
