Members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) have started arriving in Tamale, the Northern Regional capital ahead of the National campaign launch scheduled for July 27, 2024.
The official launch of the national campaign at the Jubilee Park is under the theme: “Change to reset Ghana” from January 7, 2025.
The Second Deputy National Organizer of the party, Elikem Eric Kevin Kwame Kotoko in an interview said that Tamale is ever ready to host the number.
According to him, all is set for the programme and “we are expecting thousands of our core members, sympathizers and followers nationwide to be in Tamale by Friday night”.
More or less on home soil for the launching, John Dramani Mahama, the Flagbearer is predicted to pull an unprecedented local crowd from all the five regions within the Northern Zone of Ghana.
Mr. Mahama is expected to use the event to throw more light on his 24-hour economic policy as well as the $10 Billion ‘Big Push’ to Fix Ghana’s Economy.
For the NDC ”the US 10 billion accelerated infrastructural plan dubbed the ‘Big Push’ will create jobs for the multitude of our people. We’ll provide infrastructure for accelerated development and will fix the economy as we unite against poverty, create sustainable jobs under our ‘Adwuma Pa’ programme, promote good governance, integrity, anti-corruption, transparency and accountability and deepen the international relations amongst our sister nations”.
Society with opportunities for all, to promote human development, to continue to prioritize healthcare, quality education and skills training for progress and prosperity”.
