Fatimatu Abubakar is the Deputy minister for information of the Republic of Ghana.

Prior to that, she was the deputy communications director at the Office of the President, Jubilee House, Accra, Ghana.

She previously served the then Candidate Nana Akufo-Addo as a campaign aide.

Before venturing fully into politics, she worked at the Lansdown Resort, Aburi and SRM Engineering Limited, where she served as a house manager and a Clerk respectively.

She studied Psychology and English Language for her first degree.

She continued to Mountcrest University College where she had her LLB and proceeded to the Ghana Law School to study Professional Law.

She was the spokesperson for the Legal team of the respondents in the 2020 presidential elections petition

Fatimatu Abubakar has mentored and continue to mentor many young girls , especially girls from the North and various Zongos across the country because she deems herself as one.

She aims to inspire as many young women as possible to take the right path and also help them make bold career and life choices for a better future.

Beyond politics and law, she is an entrepreneur who relents not in her pursuit and advancement of her businesses.

Fatimatu Abubakar believes that it is prudent and right to drag along the youth on the ladder of success hence, her conscious effort to surround herself with such. A move she strongly believes make a firm statement.
