FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Qualifier: Black Princesses arrive in Dakar for first leg clash

The Black Princesses on Wednesday, 10th January, 2024 departed Ghana to Senegal in their quest to qualify for the 2024 U-20 World Cup in Colombia.

The Black Princesses will take on Teranga Lionesses of Senegal in the first leg of the final round of qualifiers on Saturday, January 13, 2024.

The Black Princesses will be looking forward to securing a ticket to their seventh consecutive appearance at the World Cup tournament in Colombia this year. With Coach Yussif Basigi naming a strong 23 squad, the team is optimistic of achieving a qualification ticket. 

Big names in the like of Ampem Darkoa Ladies’ duos Comfort Yeboah, Mary Amponsah, Tracy Twum and Deborah Brown will lead the team to its ultimate goal of winning both legs of their final round of qualifiers in order to secure a spot in South America. 

The Black Princesses in their last two games defeated Guinea Bissau and Eswatini to reach the final round of qualifiers while Senegal brushed out Benin and Uganda. 

The Black Princesses will take on Teranga Lionesses of Senegal on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at the Thies Stade Lat-Dior to begin the first leg.
