The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, the Right Reverend Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, made this known at Mabang in the Ashanti region when he received from a former Minister of Information, Mr. Dan Botwe, the key to a five-bedroom Manse for the church.

The future of our nation is at stake and it’s important all of us to come together and that is why today, young people of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, all over the country, are putting on red to show how we’re worried, how we’re concerned about what is going on. And our prayer is that, the leaders of our nation, those in government, event those in opposition, will take note of the fact that the church has taken a stance against galamsey”, the Moderator explained.
The Right Rev. Kwakye called also on Ghanaians to join forces towards a peaceful Presidential and Parliamentary elections in December this year.

Knowing that there is some agitation and tension, we want to ask that, as nation, let’s pull ourselves together, let’s do what’s right and focus on having a clean and peaceful elections.”
