The men’s wrestling didn’t disappoint, as the various participating countries gave the spectators and followers of the African Games some mouthwatering shows. The event was largely dominated by some skilled performances from the North African side.

Ghana lost most of their fights, leaving them no chance to secure a spot in the final round of the men’s wrestling event. Although the likes of Emmanuel Lamptey and Isah Fuseini prove some signs of getting Ghana out of its shambles.

Lamptey displayed an impressive performance as he defeated his opponent Alie Sesay from Sierra Leone in the round of 16 stage by scoring 10-11 to book a spot in the quarterfinals stage. His run to get Ghana a medal was dimmed by his South African opponent in the quarterfinal stage.
